How can I register my player?
In order to register your player for the 2026 Los Toros Youth Flag Football season, start by visiting www.lostorosbulls.com. At the top of the page, select "Register" or "Log In."
- Returning players: Log into your existing account.
- New players: You will be directed to create a new Sports Connect account.
Once you’ve registered your player, you will receive additional information via email, including updates on required documents and in-person registration events. We will have an in-person registration event in June (date, time, and location are TBD).
What does the $150 registration fee cover, and what are raffle tickets for?
The $150 registration fee helps cover essential costs for the season, such as:
- Lights for the field
- Game referee fees
- Insurance
- Uniforms
- Equipment
- Snack bar rental and maintenance
- Other administrative costs.
Additionally, all players will participate in a raffle ticket fundraiser to further offset the program’s expenses and support Los Toros in providing a high-quality program for our youth. Your participation in this fundraiser directly supports the program.
What is the age eligibility for the 2026 season?
Our Flag Football program is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 7 years old. Age eligibility is based on a cutoff date of July 1, 2026. Players must be between these ages to participate.
How are teams structured in Flag Football?
As Flag Football is focused on young players, teams will be age-based, with players divided evenly to ensure balance and fairness. Our goal is to create a fun and competitive environment for everyone, regardless of skill level.
Where will practice be held?
Practice will begin on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the following possible locations:
- Spring Valley Sports Complex
- Bonita High School (location to be finalized)
Practice schedule:
- First week: 5 days, 10 total hours (Monday–Friday)
- Second week: 4 days, 10 total hours (Monday–Thursday)
- Starting in August: Practices will drop to 3 days a week, with a maximum of 6–8 hours per week.
Exact dates, times, and locations will be finalized and communicated to all participants via email and the website.
Where will games be played?
All home games will be played at:
- Mount Miguel High School
- STEAM Academy
Additionally, Bonita High School may be used as a home or practice location (subject to field availability).
Locations for away games will be determined and announced once the season’s schedule is created, typically in mid-to-late August. Away games will take place at other schools or community fields across San Diego County. Games will be held on Saturdays.
How long is the season?
The season starts with practices on Monday, July 27, 2026, and runs through mid-October. Games will begin in early September and continue until early November. If teams qualify for playoffs or tournaments, games may extend into late November.
What will be provided for players in the Flag Football division?
Each Flag Football player will receive the following:
- Team jersey
- Team shorts
- Mouthpiece
- Flags
What do players need to provide?
To participate, players must provide:
- Cleats (no metal cleats)
- Any additional equipment (e.g., gloves, forearm pads, or padded undershirts)
Each player will also be provided with an initial mouthpiece, but additional mouthpieces may be needed later in the season. Clear or white mouthpieces are not allowed.
What is included with the registration fee?
The registration fee helps cover the following costs:
- Field usage fees: Lights, sports complex fees, snack bar rental, and other facility costs.
- Game expenses: Referee fees, insurance, player equipment, safety trainers, and uniforms (jerseys and shorts).
- Administrative expenses: Supplies, printing, registration materials, background checks for coaches and volunteers, and website maintenance.
- Youth enrichment initiatives: Scholar-athlete recognition, pictures, and other activities to make the season fun and engaging for players.
Your registration fee, along with the support from raffle ticket fundraising, ensures that Los Toros can provide a high-quality and accessible program for all participants.
